At The Fairy Dogmother, we pride ourselves on having a dedicated team of professional dog walkers. Each member is background checked, insured, and trained in pet CPR & First Aid, ensuring your furry friend is in safe hands.
I have always been a caregiver, it is just my nature. I was an elementary school teacher for 20 years, a mom for 18+ years and a dog fanatic my whole life. I have always had dogs in my family. I had a Samoyed, a Peekapoo, and a Pug. However after my last dog passed away I found it was too upsetting to think about losing another dog. So I took a break from dog ownership for a few years. During that time I met and married my husband Andrew. Now we are a blended family of 6, that includes 4 children currently enrolled in university. For a few years I boarded dogs and walked dogs, through the Rover App, on weekends, winter break, March break and summer holidays while I was teaching to get my dog "fix".
The dogs were a source of so many smiles and laughs at our house. We love getting to know each dog’s personality. We have had some real characters. Dogs have always been a great source of calm and happiness for me. Now I try to bring them the same amount of joy that they have brought to me. Seeing them happy makes me happy. I really feel like being in a dog's presence brings out the best in me. So in early December 2022, instead of going back to work as a school teacher I started The Fairy Dogmother and began to pursue my own company for dog walking and pet care services as a full time job.
Hi, My name is Brook!
For as long as I can remember I have always been a huge animal lover, and have always felt a strong connection to dogs. I have two of my own, a Great Pyrenees named Aspen and a little Maltipom named Ace, they are the lights of my life! In my opinion, dogs are the best companions and they never fail to make me smile. I have a background in animal nutrition and I am currently working towards getting my Professional Dog Trainers Certification. I have worked with dogs since I was 14, starting at the humane society and moving to a daycare and kennel attendant. Dogs are truly my passion. I look so forward to meeting you and your fur babies and being their dog walker!
Hi, I am Sara,
I joined The Fairy Dogmother team in 2023. I come from the veterinary and pet retail worlds and I am excited to apply my years of experience to helping clients with their beloved dogs and cats. I live in Cambridge with my husband, and two daughters and a crazy little Jack Russell Terrier named “Rosie.” I am looking forward to meeting you and your pup!
Hi! My name is Priscilla.
I am an avid lover of animals of all kinds. Furry, feathery and scaley. I love them all. My pets all have a special place in my heart. My little lab mix girl is amazing and keeps me on my toes. I also have 2 cats, a tortoise and fish.
I grew up in Toronto where I started working in the pet industry at the age of 14. I have 20+ years of pet retail and veterinary assistant experience.
I moved to Cambridge 3 years ago with my family where I found The Fairy Dogmother and I am thrilled to be a part of the team. I really look forward to meeting your pup(s) and helping them be happy and healthy.
Hi I’m Chelsea!
I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats all my life and have always felt a strong connection to these four legged friends! I am passionate about animal care and am able to connect with them very easily! I’m the kind of girl that will greet an outdoor cat passing by, and always saying hello to not only the owners out on walks, but the dogs as well! I have always been the go to person for friends and family when they are in need of someone to care for their pets!
I was born and raised in Guelph, and moved to Cambridge two years ago with my husband, daughter and our fur babies! I am so grateful to have become apart of The Fairy Dogmother Team, and am looking forward to spending time with all your furry companions!
I also own a neutral home decor shop called EarthLynn Creations. If you are interested in having peak at my store click on the button below.
Hi, my name is Alivia!
I have been passionate about everything dog-related since I was little, reading every dog book and magazine I could get my hands on! Ten years ago I adopted my own dog, Finn, a rescue from South Korea. He is a quirky little guy and my best friend.
I grew up in Waterloo, and I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I also currently volunteer as a dog walker at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. I've never met an animal that I didn't adore, and I'm so excited to meet your furry friends!
Hey I'm Sarah,
My passion for dogs started about 45 years ago when I was a kid. I grew up with a Doberman and Beagle. I used to read all the books I could about dogs, breeds and had posters and pics of dogs all over bedroom walls. Throughout my adult life I have always been the one to take the rescue dogs. I even had a 3 legged Yorkie for a few years!!
I have worked at a grooming salon for a number of years. Prepping, bathing, and drying all the dogs I could imagine! More recently I volunteered prepping food for a homeless shelter, and that helped me remember some of my passion from my younger years. I genuinely wanted to work with animals and help people. Then when I needed it most, the universe led me to a job opportunity as a professional dog walker at The Fairy Dogmother and I couldn't resist.
With 7 grandchildren and 2 fur grandchildren, (St. Bernard, Golden Retriever ) and an aging Shih Tzu, Sam at home, I keep plenty busy!
I am here to walk with your pets and give them all the attention they require generously! Please know they are well cared for and loved by me.
Hey I'm Liz,
I have always wanted to work with animals but I ended up with a career in Social Work. I recently started to explore what I might like to do with the second half of my life.
I have had almost every type of pet you can think of and I currently have 2 dogs and a horse.
I started a pet thrift shop called Play It Again Pet Shop in Cambridge, to make pet ownership more affordable for everyone. You can check it using the button below.
I can't wait to meet your pets and love them up like they're my own!
